I fell in love with photography in and around 2020 after having spent my first 40 years as a musician.
Initially my eyes began to open to the wonderful world of photography by documenting my young family but soon I discovered a passion for fine art street photography and portraits. I think a great photograph should be straight to the point, cut through the chaos, tell a story and fill the frame with emotion. A wedding is the perfect place to do all this and a wonderful playground for a creative.
Having said that, wedding photography does of course come with huge reponsibility. The moments that you simply can’t miss need someone who is dedicated to not missing a beat. I’ve played classical music on some of the world’s biggest stages and can use this sort of focus when it counts! Music works with only 12 tones but photography with many more.
I am just as comfortable photographing candid moments as I am directing some beautiful couples portraits. Whilst I recommend spending 30 mins or more of your big day making portraits I am just as happy to shoot documentary style for the entire wedding. It’s all about getting to know each other, nobody feeling uncomfortable and everyone enjoying a magical day!
